The Role

Work closely with leadership, several cross-functional teams, and clients to develop and deliver innovative Financial Aid software and services. Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand and improve product capabilities. Define the long-term strategy and vision for financial aid management, leveraging new technologies to deliver features to our customers. Analyze customer feedback and usage metrics to identify key pain points. Think big and continuously—pitch new product ideas. Drive requirements definition, customer experience design, product roadmap, and prioritization. Partner with each business team to understand their customer needs and influence adoption of new services. Manage bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate, and make trade-offs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints, ensure alignment between initial business requirements and product feature/enhancement delivery, assist with creation and delivery of key go-to-market materials/sessions, and maximize business benefits while building great customer experiences.

This position is remote (work from home), with a travel requirement of up to 25%.

Professional Requirements

  • BA/BS (MS preferred)
  • Financial Aid and/or SaaS experience preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in related fields of educational technology (as client or vendor) and/or product management
  • Demonstrated ability to work with both technical and non-technical individuals to gather information and communicate direction
  • Experience scheduling and leading meetings with a broad range of people
  • Strong analytical, communication (both written and oral), and presentation skills
  • Ability to move projects through cross-functional teams
  • Strong technical and people leadership skills through multiple project cycles
  • Proficiency in Power Point and Excel
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
  • Sensitivity to deadlines – the ability to meet deadlines is essential, so a flexible schedule is required
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and to prioritize their importance
