Kingman, AZ – Mohave Community College has selected Regent Education’s verification solution, Regent Review, to automate and streamline the entire student verification process. Mohave selected Regent Review after a request for proposal process that focused on reducing processing times, compliance control and efficiency to reduce administrative costs.
Regent Review allows Mohave’s Student Services staff to focus on advising, personal outreach and the increased “touch-time” that their student population demands. This is a win-win for students, staff and enrollment, allowing the community college to utilize resources more efficiently.
“Verification is one of the most costly tasks we perform in the administration of Title IV financial aid,” said Ana Masterson, Dean of Student Services for Mohave. “With Regent Review we will be able to streamline the process for students, reduce processing costs, and implement additional compliance controls.”
Regent Review fully automates the collection of verification documents, C-code processing, task assignments and workflows. Students and staff will experience real-time features, such as immediate acknowledgement of receipt of documents and updates on the progression of verification. This automation streamlines the entire administrative process for schools and students.
“Efficient management of the verification process has become increasingly challenging for institutions. By leveraging our existing technologies, we are able to automate a very costly and audit prone aspect of the administration of Title IV aid. Regent Review is helping schools control costs, maintain compliance and deliver exceptional service to their students,” says Randy Jones, CEO of Regent. “We are excited about Mohave Community College becoming a Regent customer, and look forward to a successful partnership.”
Verification is a leading cause of compliance audits and findings, representing a key risk to higher education institutions. Regent Review resolves these challenges by offering the industry’s most robust solution for verification processing. Key features that improve compliance include:
- Complete audit trail that includes all submitted documents, student communications, and processing history
- Leverages the proven and highly-advanced ISIR processing features of Regent Award
- Approved electronic signature capabilities
- Single sign-on options to prevent fraud
“With Regent Review we will have one system for processing, customer service inquiries and a single source for retaining information for compliance and auditing purposes,” said Shannon Sheaff, Director of Financial Aid for Mohave. “Regent Review pre-populates information for students to make the process simple, and prevents frustrating and time-consuming conflicting information errors. The increased regulatory compliance and the annual policy changes have made verification increasingly challenging. We wanted to be sure we had a process that ensures compliance while also driving our customer service initiatives.”
