New downtown location blends history with modern day business, arts and entertainment

Frederick, MD – Regent Education, the leading provider of financial aid management software solutions for higher education institutions, today announced that it has moved to new corporate headquarters, located in the Cannon Hill Office Building at 47 E. South Street, Suite 201, Frederick, MD 21701.

The new headquarters in the Cannon Hill building in historic downtown Frederick, Maryland reflect the exciting growth of Regent. Not only does the architecture of the building foster an exciting, collaborative work environment with its open floor plan and abundance of windows, but it also sits right in the middle of a revitalization that is going on in the historic city. The building provides a larger space than Regent’s previous headquarters, meeting the needs of the ever-growing organization and boasting several conference rooms and meeting spaces to allow for more on-site meetings and training sessions with Regent’s expanding customer base.

The new location also offers a rich history. The Cannon Hill was named for a nearby hill that had numerous cannons perched on it for defense during the Civil War’s “Battle of the Monocacy”. In the past, the Cannon Hill area has been home to industries ranging from a gun lock factory to dairy and canning to grain mills.

“We are extremely excited to be in our new headquarters in downtown Frederick. Our new space captures the essence of where Regent is going as a company,” said Michael Ratti, Regent’s CEO. “Historic Frederick’s revitalization is symbolic of the transformation that financial aid offices are undergoing as they become empowered as front line strategic enablers rather than back office administrative functions. Downtown Frederick is an ideal place for the company to develop and do what we love most, financial aid management solutions for higher education institutions.”
